The National Choreographic Center of La Rochelle is part of a network of nineteen choreographic centers across France, established over 30 years ago as part of a bold cultural policy initiated by the Ministry of Culture and local authorities.
As the first hip-hop choreographer to lead a cultural institution, Kader Attou took over the direction of the National Choreographic Center of La Rochelle in 2009. His artistic and cultural vision prioritizes hip-hop culture, focusing on its development and democratization at regional, national, and international levels.
