Bestioles is a garden of interactive machines designed from a complex network of electronic and sound circuits. Each creature is an artificial reconstruction of the songs of insects and birds, species whose decline threatens the balance of our biosphere. This immersive installation explores the subtle dialogues that animate the natural world by staging an orchestra of interdependent machines. Through this ever-evolving soundscape, the viewer is invited to feel the fragility of these ecosystems and to become aware of the invisible interactions that shape our environment. Bestioles questions our connection to the living world and highlights the urgent need to preserve these voices that are gradually fading away.
Marylou is a French sound artist, electronic musician, and hacker. Using technology as a primary medium to study biodiversity, her work highlights the parallels between broken ecosystems and electronic interfaces, aiming to artificially reconstruct and reactivate the networks of a vanishing nature.
