Discover Confined forms at the Festival ZERO1 Online

This abstract visualization captures real-time COVID-19 statistics and translates them into an agile, dynamic creature. Its form resembles a spherical virus, moving freely at times, while at others, it appears stifled and confined within four walls. Countries most severely affected are forced to impose stricter lockdown measures, which creates a specific shape within the organism that differs from the representations of less affected nations.

Using an active list of nearly every country on the globe, immerse yourself in a profound visualization of this unique moment in world history. Because the data is streamed in real-time, Agustin's "Confined forms" opens up a sensitive dimension to a global issue.

How is it that the same "virus" can be experienced in so many different ways? What is happening on a political, cultural, and economic level? The use of primary colors, unrecognizable shapes, speed, and movement brings to life a part of the virus that is both ever-present and invisible.

Much like the virus itself, we feel it is in the air, and especially within the human fluid; this killer moves rapidly and seems to have the ability to pass through anything. "Confined forms" is a visualization of the era we are living in.
