Memento Mori is an interactive game project that explores digital identity, surveillance, and the persistence of data traces after death. Players navigate a digital space, encountering real data fragments and embarking on a search for their own personal records. Rather than prioritizing traditional gameplay, the project offers a spatial narrative experience that oscillates between play and a critical engagement with digital infrastructures. The narrative remains intentionally ambiguous regarding death, archiving, and the resurrection of data. The goal is not to state a definitive truth, but rather to observe how individuals react when confronted with their digital doubles.

Memento Mori is an interactive game design project dealing with digital identity, surveillance and the persistence of data traces after death.

Players explore a digital space, encountering real data fragments and embarking on a search for their own data records. Rather than focusing on traditional gameplay, the game provides a spatial narrative experience oscillating between play and critical engagement with digital infrastructures. The narrative deliberately remains ambiguous with regard to death, archiving and the resurrection of data. The focus is less on making a definitive statement than on observing how people react when confronted with their digital selves.
