This experience is based on the original audio recordings of John Hull, a professor of theology and author who became blind in 1983 after decades of deteriorating vision. Each scene refers to a specific moment, memory, and location documented in John Hull’s personal journals. Together, they create a deeply immersive experience set within a real-time 3D animated environment, enhanced by spatialized audio.
On April 14, 2017, we will host a screening of the feature film Notes on Blindness, which utilizes John Hull’s audio recordings to invite viewers into a poetic and intimate narrative. The film traces his journey from the initial loss of sight through to acceptance and eventual rebirth. Presented in partnership with “Escale Documentaires”.
