Inspirée des bestiaires médiévaux et des observations de notre planète à l’ère de l’Anthropocène, cette vidéo présente diverses créatures et objets hybrides contemporains, rassemblés en une collection au croisement des règnes animal, végétal, minéral et technologique. Une part croissante de ce que nous appelons « nature » est aujourd’hui artificialisée. De nouveaux spécimens émergent et coexistent avec nous, redéfinissant progressivement la composition même de notre milieu de vie. Le Bestiaire de l’Anthropocène cherche à saisir ce moment charnière où biosphère et technosphère se rejoignent pour former un corps composite inédit. Entre observation naturaliste, cabinet de curiosités et tentative de classification des conséquences des activités humaines, il dresse un portrait de l’artificialisation à l’échelle planétaire.
Inspired by medieval bestiaries and by observations of our planet in the age of the Anthropocene, this video presents various contemporary hybrid creatures and objects, gathered into a collection at the intersection of the animal, plant, mineral, and technological realms. An increasing portion of what we call “nature” is now artificialized. New specimens are emerging and coexisting with us, gradually redefining the very composition of our living environment. The Bestiary of the Anthropocene seeks to capture this pivotal moment when the biosphere and the technosphere converge to form an unprecedented composite body. Between naturalistic observation, a cabinet of curiosities, and an attempt to classify the consequences of human activities, it portrays artificialization on a planetary scale.

Le collectif conçoit des œuvres qui abordent des problématiques éco-sociales complexes sous forme d’expositions, d’installations, de publications et d’essais vidéo, articulées autour de l’énergie, de l’écologie et de l’économie. En croisant investigation artistique et analyse scientifique, il met en lumière les infrastructures matérielles, les régimes énergétiques et les systèmes de valeur qui structurent les sociétés contemporaines. Inscrites dans une réflexion au long cours, ces œuvres constituent des outils critiques de reconfiguration des imaginaires collectifs. DISNOVATION.ORG has been developing, for over a decade, a practice situated at the intersection of contemporary art, research, and technical cultures. The collective creates works that address complex eco-social issues in the form of exhibitions, installations, publications, and video essays, centered around energy, ecology, and economy. By combining artistic investigation and scientific analysis, it highlights the material infrastructures, energy regimes, and value systems that structure contemporary societies. Embedded in long-term reflection, these works serve as critical tools for reconfiguring collective imaginaries. DISNOVATION.ORG notably co-edited A Bestiary of the Anthropocene, an atlas of hybrid creatures of anthropogenic origin, and The Pirate Book, an anthology dedicated to the circulation practices of cultural content.
