How can video games be considered a silent art form? Or serve as an educational tool if they are unable to effectively convey knowledge?

In this lecture, OSCAR BARDA, game designer, founder of the studio Them Games, and artistic advisor at La Gaîté Lyrique, explores the various ways in which video games communicate.

This new medium can create meaning and evoke emotions, but does it do so through the screen or the controller? Is it truly the total art form that digital prophets speak of, or is it simply an art like any other, with its own specific set of tools?

Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics is a lecture about games and video games, and how they weave explicit and implicit cultural connections with the world around them.
